Alas, I am no longer invincibile.

I got my letter from Notre Dame today. And I've been waitlisted.

So I'm not definitely out. But I probably won't keep pursuing Notre Dame. I wouldn't find out if I got in until the spring or summer, and by then it will past deposit deadlines at other schools. And I'm guessing that if I barely got into the school in the first place, then I probably shouldn't be expecting any scholarship.

I'm a little bummed about it, but in a way it helps. One less factor in this decision-making process.

  1. I think it's a relief! I was beginning to wonder if it was a fluke. If "J.J." was somehow a code in the computer systems of every university that made them spit out a "yes" without actually meaning it. But now that you know you CAN be rejected, it makes all of the other acceptances even more legitimate!

(upon re-reading this, I see that my logic is warped. I blame sleep deprivation. If you don't understand what I was trying to get at, don't worry, I don't quite get it either.)
